This site is designed to be "All Things Kelp"- to be a resource and a gathering place for anyone interested in the world of kelp- its biology, ecology, cultivation, uses, research, and where it's in art and literature. This site can be a nexus for the growing awareness and appreciation of the importance of kelp in both marine and terrestrial ecosystems. While the information will be centered in the Salish Sea and the NE Pacific Ocean, I hope to draw from the world-wide community of those whose lives are touched by kelp in some manner.
As is said, "This Site is Under Development". Rather than have it spring full blown, I want to grow it slowly with the help and input from anyone willing to give me input. This is not a "one way street. I'm here to listen and learn.
Much of the content will be links, connections, or to use an older term, "pointers". I'll try to give enough information to aim you in a direction you think you may want to go but to also perhaps expand your view a bit. The value may be just connections.
So welcome. And join me in the creation of "All Things Kelp"!
